How to lift roots WITHOUT product?

Hi I was just wondering if anybody knew any way to lift my roots from my head? I can’t go buy anything from the store so please don’t suggest any hair products. I seriously only have ponytails, bobby pins, a blowdryer, and a straighter. Please help

blow dry your hair upside down completly when you get out of the shower.
make sure that you target your roots when you do it. (dont burn your scalp thou D:)
